Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Greg Guyett, First Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), visited the new production line of MaxCopper, recently launched in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent. The event was also attended by Andi Aranitasi, Head of the EBRD Representative Office in Uzbekistan.
During the visit, Greg Guyett emphasized the importance of supporting modern export-oriented projects such as MaxCopper. According to him, the initiative contributes to industrial development and strengthens Uzbekistan’s competitiveness in international markets.
The EBRD has provided the company with a loan of up to €10 million. The funds will be used to launch and expand production, as well as to purchase raw materials, including copper cathodes.
MaxCopper manufactures copper tubes and fittings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including light coils, straight tubes, and pancake coil products. The majority of the company’s output is planned for export to European countries and neighboring markets.
The project plays an important role in diversifying Uzbekistan’s industrial sector, introducing modern technologies, and ensuring compliance with international quality standards.
